Viking Cruises

VIKING SKY

About the project

All travelers, no matter how far their journey, like to remember where they came from. With this in mind, the curatorial direction for Viking Sky is an aesthetic celebration of the traveler as a collector of ideas and experiences and an ode to the Nordic heritage.

Working closely with Viking Cruises, International Corporate Art selected a diverse array of works, both by established and up-and-coming artists, most of them Norwegian - a natural choice for the Norwegian cruise company.

Original artworks by Masters such as Edvard Munch can be found on board, as well as the journeys of the legendary polar explorer Fridtjof Nansen, exhibited through a range of portraits, maps and books that celebrate his life. Throughout the ship, the art collection encompasses a variety of media and approaches, complementing and enhancing the light-filled, Nordic-influenced interiors of Viking Sky.
