BANYAN STREET CAPITAL

The Peachtree No. 1355

About the project

In the heart of Atlanta’s Midtown is The Peachtree, a 21-story tower with office and retail space. The grand, light-filled central atrium created the opportunity to commission an elegant and impactful sculpture. Peter Gentenaar’s site-specific work Ruby Takes Flight, is an ethereal installation of sculptured Belgian paper, activating the atrium in a way that echoes the bustle of the area, yet invites you to pause and take in the installation. The art collection in the corridors embodies the dynamic elegance of nature. Martin Klimas’s series of photographs capture burtsting flowers, while Alicia La Chance and Yuri Tuma’s kaleidoscopic images are a more meditative reflection on nature, and Mo Devlin’s photographs combines elements by submerging a bouqet in water. Creating a balance and dialogue with the nature photography are compositions by Abbey Costello and Carlos Caicedo, both artists showing their distinct approaches to abstracted organic forms.
