“The Wonder of our World” – The Art Collection onboard Oasis of the Seas
With the arrival of their newest wonder, Oasis of the Seas, Royal Caribbean unveils the beautiful new art collection curated by International Corporate Art and fittingly entitled “The Wonder of our World”.
Onboard art collections, a tradition with Royal Caribbean throughout their fleet, represent a long standing strategy to provide a beautiful and enriching environment for their guests. International Corporate Art (ICArt), Royal Caribbean’s art advisers have assembled Oasis’ collection, as well as all new ships’ art collections since 1992.

Oasis of the Seas
For each new vessel, ICArt creates a unique artistic direction or “red thread” – a way in which to create a distinct character for each ship’s art collection. For Oasis of the Seas, the creative concept is “The Wonder of our World” – The Natural World – a collection of artworks by international artists which examines and celebrates the beauty and uniqueness that is present in the natural world. The artists featured onboard Oasis of the Seas express their curiosity and creativity through a multitude of media, resulting in art that is innovative, captivating and beautiful.
The heart of the eclectic collection begins with the four stairwells. Throughout these stair landings, artwork including painting, drawing, photography and installation pieces, are grouped to highlight a specific realm or phenomena in nature: World with a View; Sea of Wonder; Masters of Flight; Blossoms; Branching Out; and Secrets of the Earth, just to name a few. Just in the stairs alone, there are over 350 unique, specially commissioned artworks.
Guests will marvel at the Small Wonders – a program featuring 42 surprise natural wonders, positioned throughout the ship and designed to delight guests while creating the feeling of being on a scavenger hunt!
In all, there are over 9,300 pieces of artwork onboard, with over 1,100 pieces in the public areas alone, with more than twenty countries represented. The collection is the result of over three years of planning and collaboration with Royal Caribbean’s top management, designers, architects and artists. No other cruise line in the world invests as much to create a truly magnificent and enriching experience for their guests through art.
